Moflash Asked to Join the MWTF Management Board

Midlands World Trade Forum

After recently re-joining the MWTF Simon Evans was asked to join the management board

Simon Evans, Sales Director for Moflash, has been asked to join the management board of the MWTF. The organization is designed to help both new and experienced companies export their goods via workshops, market visits and general networking .

“It was surprise and an honour to be asked” Simon Evans explained, “We have been involved with the chamber for 10 years, ever since Moflash Limited was formed from the old Moflash company co. In the first year we exported around 4% of our turnover and by year 10 it has risen to well over 50%. This was only made possible by our involvement with the chamber.

We were one of the first companies to join the MWTF but due to other commitments we decided to drop out for a few years and only re-joined last year, with the view that we could still learn a trick or two from the old hands who attend the MWTF. But we also felt we could give a little back to young and new exporters. Like all companies we have good stories and bad, and if by talking and sharing our experiences helps others, then it can only be a good thing.”

It will the second time for Simon to join a chamber organised group as he was a member of the European Advisory Group formed to give strategic advice to Ministers and trade partners and UK’s international group Directors on a regional basis. The group was answerable to Baroness Symons who was the Minster for International Trade and Investment.
